Shipping, Duties and Taxes

SHIPPING WITHIN AUSTRALIA

Orders within Australia are shipped via Australia Post Express Post with tracking and signature on delivery. Extra insurance can be added upon request with additional charges. Please contact info@commonhours.co.uk if you wish to have extra insurance added, or if you have any questions regarding your order. Orders can be tracked through the Australia Post website. Once your item has been dispatched we will notify you via email or text with your tracking number. If notified via email, please check your spam/junk mail folders for order confirmations and tracking information.  

 

SHIPPING OUTSIDE AUSTRALIA

Flat rate of $50 for all international orders outside Australia.


Orders outside Australia are shipped via DHL (express with signature on delivery) and can take from 5-10 business days pending customs. Extra insurance can be added upon request with additional charges. Please contact info@commonhours.co.uk if you wish to have extra insurance added, or if you have any questions regarding your order.

 

All international purchases are exempt from Australian taxes. 
Prices do not include overseas custom duties that may incur.

 

Change in pricing policy for customers outside of Australia

 

We are introducing a new process for sales to customers outside of Australia which will have an impact on pricing for these customers. We believe these changes are beneficial for our clients, whilst at the same time assisting Common Hours with a more efficient sale and cost management process.  

 

Effective on September the 25th, the advertised purchase price for a piece denominated in the local currency (e.g. Great British Pound or Unites States Dollar etc) on our website:

  • Will be directly referable to the Australian Dollar exchange rate on the date of sale. To date, our pricing methodology has involved setting a fixed exchange rate, but with constantly fluctuating exchange rates, this has created difficulties with managing our costs and processes and resulted in pricing differences in the different locations around the world; and
  • Will no longer include a cost for the local jurisdiction's duty, but instead the client/customer will be responsible for paying the local duty directly to the relevant authority. To date our pricing has included a fixed rate for duties, meaning that as a result of this change, the purchase price payable to Common Hours will be reduced. 

 

For completeness we note that there is no change to the process or pricing for Australian based customers.

The delivery times stated above are estimates only and Common Hours cannot be accountable for any late deliveries. Please provide Common Hours with correct shipping/delivery information as we will not be held responsible for incorrectly entered addresses or an address that is not recognised by Australia Post or DHL. We are unable to redirect orders after items have been dispatched and we cannot refund or replace items that are tracked as being delivered.
